Gates and railings for the home

When we started Burmar Fabrications over 20 years ago, gates and railings were our core work. Today we tackle large commercial  contracts, but domestic  metalwork is still as important to us, so don't be shy to contact us, even if you just need a bracket fabricating.

We make gates and railings to look attractive and to compliment a property, but they are primarily a very effective means of security.

Gates can be traditional swing openings, cantilevered, and sliding for limited space applications. All can be automated.

Heritage work

We make gates and railings for listed buildings and are experienced in the traditional technique of 'leading in' of railings to stone - which is called heritage work to comply with the requirements of conservation officers. You can see examples in the images.

Automation

We design and install gates that are fully automated, available with remote control, staged opening, automatic closing and safety features such as vehicle sensors.

Motors can be side mounted or buried in the ground and intercom systems with CCTV can be integrated at the same time.
